Brand & Content Specialist

You’re probably wondering what, exactly, we’re looking for. Glad you asked. Our brand and content specialist will:
Create & Execute Content
Draft social media content (primarily LinkedIn and Instagram) for multiple clients, ensuring alignment with each brand’s voice, tone, and strategic objectives
Draft occasional long-form content such as client blogs, email newsletters, and messaging guides under the direction of the Director of Content and Messaging
Conduct market, competitor, and trend research to inform and strengthen client content strategies
Create basic visual assets in Canva to accompany social media posts and digital content
Manage Clients & Collaborate on Deliverables
Attend client meetings to develop a strong understanding of each client’s mission, business model, brand voice, and content priorities
Maintain organized notes and action items from client meetings to support accurate and timely content execution
Support the Director of Content and Messaging with day-to-day client deliverables and special projects as needed
Schedule & Publish Content
Prepare approved content for scheduling and publication in social media management tools or email platforms
Ensure all scheduled content is formatted correctly, error-free, and optimized for each platform’s best practices
Maintain HeadStart Quality Throughout the Process
Meet internal drafting and publishing deadlines to keep content calendars on track
Incorporate feedback efficiently and maintain a high standard of clarity, grammar, and brand alignment in all deliverables
Continuously look for ways to improve content workflows and quality, sharing ideas proactively with the team

You’re passionate about helping mission-driven companies tell their stories and are driven to succeed.
You're comfortable working on a fully remote team. While we like to work as an all-hands-on-deck kind of operation - which means being a team player is key - there will be plenty of self-directed work and you'll be expected to own your client accounts.
You’re a seasoned professional, meaning it's not your first time crafting content for clients.
Experience working with clients in the health sphere and paid social is a plus, but not required.
You’ll send us a portfolio or samples of relevant work.
